What Information is Golden Rule PHC gathering about its visitors and how is it being used?

Every computer connected to the Internet is provided with a domain name (e.g., and an IP Address (e.g., When a visitor requests a page from within the Golden Rule PHC website, our Web Servers automatically identify and log the HTTP request that is made to our Web Server. This information reveals nothing personal about you.

The only information that we automatically gather, and a log is as follows:

  • The IP Address of the Site that may have referred you.
  • Your IP Address
  • The Web Page that you may have linked to us from if any.
  • The Product Identifier for Version and Make of Browser (e.g., Internet Explorer 11)
  • The Operating System platform that you may be running (e.g., Macintosh or Windows)
  • Search Words or Terms that are passed from a Search Engine (e.g., Google, Bing)

There is absolutely nothing special about the information just described, and the practice of collecting this data has been generally standardized by virtually every Web Server on the Internet today.

The purpose of this information is two-fold. One, Golden Rule PHC has found it advantageous to examine visitor traffic in its aggregate so that we can ensure maximum compatibility for the various Browsers and Operating Systems that visit our site. Additionally, as any business should attest, we desire to generate greater amounts of visitor traffic. By analyzing visitation patterns, referring URLs, and Search Engine terms, we can strategically enhance our exposure on the Internet.

What about Cookies?

E-mail, including attachments, is intended for the exclusive use of the addressee and may contain proprietary, confidential, or privileged information. If you are not the intended recipient or an employee or agent responsible for delivering the message to the intended recipient, any dissemination, use, distribution, or copying is strictly prohibited. If you have received an e-mail in error, please notify us via return e-mail, permanently delete the original, and destroy all copies.

SMS Terms of Service

Use of the Golden Rule text message-based services (the “Service”) is subject to the following Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legal agreement. These terms do not supersede or modify any other agreement of any kind between you and Golden Rule, including for any professional services.

  1. Golden Rule will allow several opportunities to opt-in to SMS services, such as entering a phone number online or becoming a Gold Club Member.
  2. You can cancel the Service at any time. Just text “STOP” after receiving an automated message. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive automated SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
  3. Golden Rule may send, but is not limited to, SMS messages for the following reasons:  Appointment Reminders, Appointment Confirmations, System Check or Inspection Reminders, Dispatch Notifications, Reschedule Notifications, Surveys and Reviews, Payment Reminders, Membership Renewal Notifications, and Golden Rule marketing.
  4. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you, and Golden Rule is not liable for the cost of any such messages. You should expect to receive recurring messages twice per calendar year and before a scheduled appointment. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) governs how we treat the Personal Information that we collect and receive from you in connection with your use of the SMS Service (“Service”), which we make available to you through a third-party service provider. We may share de-identified or aggregated information with others without further notice. An example of this would be the number of people who used the Service in a given month or the total number of texts sent in a given week.

The categories of third parties with whom we may share your Personal Information include government regulators, attorneys, internet service providers, field services software providers, data analytics providers, and marketing firms.


Golden Rule takes commercially reasonable measures to protect the security, confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of your Personal Information, including ensuring that our third-party service providers protect the security of your Personal Information. However, we cannot guarantee that hackers or unauthorized persons will not gain access to your Personal Information despite our efforts. Opting in

A user may opt-in by:

  • Becoming a Gold Club Member,
  • Entering a phone number online,
  • Sending a Mobile Originating (MO) message containing an advertising keyword,
  • Filling out a paper form that includes their phone number or
  • Signing up at a point-of-sale location.

Opting out

Golden Rule’s SMS vendor gives you the ability to opt out of the Service for any reason. You can opt-out by texting “STOP” or “QUIT” to automated SMS messages sent by Golden Rule.

We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the Service, such as announcements and administrative messages, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.


The Service is not intended for children under 13, and Golden Rule does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

Children aged 13 or older should not submit any Personal Information without the permission of their parents or guardians. By using the Service, you are representing that you are at least 18 or that you are at least 13 years old and have your parents’ permission to use the service.
